My art is a reflection of my curiosity. I love the process of art making- the hands on exploration and manipulation of materials, new and old. It calms my mind and allows me to make sense of the world around me. The constant seduction of consumer culture and the devastating effect this has on the environment is a theme that I return to often in my work. Creating new artworks out of a variety of media allows me to keep these concerns present and helps me to address the bigger ethical and philosophical questions underlying all the choices I make and the impact these choices have on the world around us.

Adrienne Shishko received a JD from Harvard University, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has studied art for most of her life, most recently at the SMFA, The New Art Center, Truro Center for the Arts, Montserrat College of Art, , and The Arsenal Center for the Arts. She has exhibited with bkprojects, The Gallery at Officio, HC Studio, The Arsenal Center for the Arts, Newton Art Association, and many others. Her work is included in numerous corporate and private collections.
