Trained as a studio art major at Brandeis and Harvard, I discovered the magic of monotype printmaking decades ago and have never lost the thrill of pulling a print. Recently I have been creating layered reduction block prints as well as nature prints using gel plates. I have taught both processes at the New Art Center as well as other venues.

My work reflects my interest in layers both actual and conceptual. Most off my monotypes have made many trips through the press and have many layers of ink.

I am an active member of the Nature Printing Society, the Newton Art Association, and the National Art Education Association. A teacher at heart, I taught art in the Newton Public Schools for 40 years and am grateful that I am now able to teach at the New Art Center.

I cannot remember a time when I was not a artist. Some of my earliest drawings have turned into stamps for my rubber stamp company, Zum Gali Gali. My hand printed shirts use natural objects such as leaves and shells. The cards I make are all original little monotypes.

My monotypes have been exhibited all over New England and the Zum Gali Gali stamps are used all over the world.
