Betsy Silverman

Betsy Silverman’s artistry combines architectural sensibilities with her training in color theory to evoke tension between magazine graphics and unique views of New England life. Her works are made entirely of recycled paper on canvas. Each work involves an intensive search for contextual images, as well as printed words to represent a reinvented photorealist piece with layered meanings.
