Based in Newton, Taylor Apostol is a sculptor working in marble and clay. Through her painted and flocked sculptures she explores ideas of memory, place and form. Her recent work focuses on familiar household items such as waste bins, grocery lists, CVS coupons, and piles of clothing. She earned her MFA in Sculpture from Boston University, and has attended residencies at Vermont Studio Center and The Studios at MASS MoCA. In 2020 she participated in the Nashua International Sculpture Symposium, and her marble sculpture Soft Cones is permanently installed in Mine Falls Park in Nashua, NH. Her work is in the permanent collections of Sias International University in Xinzheng, China, Hotel Commonwealth in Boston, and the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University. Recently, her work has been included in exhibitions at ArtsWorcester, Gallery 263, and Nearby Gallery.
