Wienerware Pottery

My work reflects an interest in asymmetrical forms and expressive surface decoration. I hand-roll each clay slab, then press and stamp industrial recyclables, found objects, and other textured materials to create “abstract landscapes” which are draped over forms and allowed to stiffen. Then, I apply glazes and stains that accentuate the textures. The unpredictable and playful nature of this process adds an exciting dimension to the finished piece.

All stoneware pieces are fired to Cone 6 (2232° F) and are lead-free, dishwasher-safe, waterproof, and safe to use with food. See more of my work at wienerwarepottery.com.
