Photography has been my passion since I was a teen; now in retirement I continue to refine my craft doing what I love. My portfolio includes architecture abstracts, waterscapes, landscapes and cityscapes. I am drawn to imagery with fascinating shapes, patterns, structures, and textures. When these visual elements combine, as in reflections or architectural designs, they can simultaneously show stark and subtle beauty. Zooming in on architectural elements and features enables me to see them in a new way – sometimes emphasizing the overall architectural design and other times extracting a different way of seeing that design.

Recently I have been exploring visual contradictions in a diverse series called “Order & Chaos” in which elements simultaneously work together while contending. While most of my work is in color, I render selected images in black and white to emphasize form, light and shadow.

I have exhibited in many juried shows and city-wide open shows in Newton as well as at NewTV’s art gallery and at Newton City Hall Gallery in the Mayor’s Office. I have been invited to the Boston Society of Architects upcoming juried exhibit "New Visions of Designed Environments." I was selected to exhibit in the highly competitive 2015 Danforth Museum New England Photography Biennial and the 2012 Danforth juried exhibition "Off The Wall" and one of my images was awarded Honorable Mention from among 103 works by 80 artists. I was also selected for a Juror’s Award for the November 2015 and 2011 Newton Open Studios ArtFESTs. My website galleries span the range of my work including art and architectural abstracts and boats.

I received this feedback from the curator of contemporary art at a major US museum about my image of the Reichstag Dome in Berlin: "...you've created a very unique vision - an abstract transformation of the architecture, which reminds me of some of the great cubist-inspired photographs of the early 20th century." This image is one of the prints that will be in the BSA Space "New Visions" exhibit.

I custom print my images on archival papers using Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment inks and use only conservation-grade materials and processes for matting, mounting and framing to assure that you will be able to enjoy these fine art prints for many years to come. I also offer professional lab prints on metal, as canvas wraps, and as face-mounted acrylics.
