Amy Kaufman

My inspiration comes from sitting by the ocean and by looking at everyday objects such as flowers and fruit. At the heart of my paintings are warm and alluring vivid colors with expressive brushstrokes. I always enjoy the art journey, working intuitively and spontaneously with observation and imagination.The layering of the pieces whether it is the various textures, the unique markings, or the use of colors, resonates each time you engage with my art and for you to see more details and surprises.

Amy Kaufman, a professional artist, is acclaimed for her unique painted monotypes and paintings that are in numerous private, university, hospital, and corporate collections nationwide. She has received awards including the Newton Art Association’s Russell Prize and has exhibited extensively in museums and galleries. Her art was featured on TV NECN Dream House: Elderly Home and in Dream Home at the Boston Design Center. You may have seen her art at Left Bank Gallery in Wellfleet; Camilla Richman Fine Arts in Osterville; and Diana Levine Fine Art, Masterpiece Gallery, Canvas Fine Arts, 29 Newbury in Boston. Her paintings have been juried and displayed in Newton’s Fence Art. You can see Kaufman’s paintings in the Hollywood movie Bride Wars.
