Gail Hansen is a Newton and Wellesley based printmaker and book maker. She is a studio member of Shepherd and Maudsleigh Printmaking Studio, the Monotype Guild of New England, New England Book Artists, Newton and Needham Open Studios and Newton, Needham and Dedham Art Associations.
While I am primarily a printmaker, I learned to make books when looking for a quiet activity to work on at home. Making books is a great way to use certain prints and my handmade marbled paper. Most of my books have a theme, often a poem or a fixation on shoes or chickens or hamsters or bees.
