Martha Doolin

I paint directly from life in response to what I see and experience around me. I’m especially motivated by our ever changing New England landscape. When I make a painting I am most engaged in capturing the spirit of a moment, what it feels like, its temperature, light, and mood. I aim to create a window into a world and invite you to linger for a while. I have studied with Robert Douglas Hunter and David P. Curtis and look to the Boston School painters in particular for inspiration.
