Myra Abelson

I paint what inspires me visually, what I find beautiful. Of late, I am excited about rendering a portion of something or some place and creating an abstraction that suggests or hints rather than explains. This lets me focus on shapes and forms, textures and colors, and lines rather than the actual place or thing. My flowers, tree bark, and animals are examples of this approach. The challenge is creating an image that captures just enough and no more.
