Rachel Leaney

My artwork frequently begins with an experience of the natural world, often in the woods, or near the ocean. It is my hope that I can bring the air and light I find there back into the studio and then into my paintings and monotypes. Printmaking has allowed me the freedom to layer colors, ideas and moods, obscuring and revealing in an evolving process.
