Rochelle Acker

My paintings and drawings demonstrate the connection I feel to community, neighborhood, and family. I use semi-abstract shapes and colors to capture the views of landscapes around me and portraits of loved ones. The contrast of color and texture is reflected throughout.

For many years, I have worked full time as a school-aged child care administrator and art teacher. The children have inspired me in my art work and life. I feel blessed to be able to continue working in a vibrant creative community and balance this with the time I spend doing my own art work.
