My artistic practice explores storytelling, identity, and memory through interdisciplinary forms including painting, illustration, collage, textile work, and text. My work reflects themes of Black identity, motherhood, cultural tradition, and the everyday rituals that shape our lives. Through bright color, layered materials, and expressive imagery, I create visual narratives that honor both personal and collective experience.

I approach art as a process of connection and reflection. Collage and mixed media are central to my practice, allowing me to layer fragments of memory, symbolism, and text to explore how stories are carried across generations. My work often draws from domestic spaces, community life, and cultural traditions, highlighting moments of care, resilience, and joy.

As both an artist and educator, community engagement is an important part of my work. I design creative experiences that invite people to see themselves as artists and storytellers. I believe art is a transformative and accessible tool that can support healing, reflection, and connection. Through my studio practice and community work, I aim to uplift stories, foster dialogue, and create spaces where creativity can thrive.
